Roger Liebi

tl_files/der_messias_im_tempel/images/rogerliebi.jpgTheologian Dr. Roger Liebi, born in 1958 has also studied music (violin and piano), biblical languages (Greek, ancient and modern Hebrew, Aramaic, Acadian). In his book, The Messiah In The Temple he creates a wonderful unique bridge between Jewish background and the Old and New Testaments, in relation to the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem. Importantly this book was the inspiration for this project.


Dr. Roger Liebi is from Switzerland and lives there with his wife Miriam and five children. He is a Bible teacher and has lectured widely in Europe, Asia, Africa, and America.


He holds a doctorate from Whitefield Theological Seminary, Florida (USA) in the fields of Jewish Studies and Archaeology. His dissertation bears the title The Messiah In The Temple. He also has been involved in three Bible translations and authored about twenty publications.


At the STH Basel he serves as a lecturer on archaeology and cultural background of the Old Testament.
